The soya bean

The Chinese have been using soya as an excellent source of protein and for its many nutritional benefits for thousands of years. Several hundreds of varieties of soya plant exist, the most common being the one that provides yellow soya beans, which are the ones we use.

Where do we source our beans?

Soya is grown in various parts of the world, although Alpro® soya sources the beans mostly in Brazil, Canada and China. These are then shipped to our productions units in Belgium, France and the UK. Find out more in the caring for our planet section of this website.
